The International Baccalaureate Philosophy promotes the education of the whole person, emphasizing intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth through all domains of knowledge. By focusing on the dynamic combination of knowledge, skills, independent critical and creative thought and international-mindedness, the IB espouses the principle of educating the whole person for a life of active, responsible citizenship. For over a period of 4 weeks, the 6th grade Mentors volunteered their time and effort in facilitating the learning about Weather, for their first grade partner. In this process, both grade level students, initiated a process of life-long learning.

The Girls Softball Team lost to Cross Hill Academy on Monday in a close thriller by the score of 12-11.  Olivia Granizo and Dynasia Price led had excellent defensive games and Venesse El Jamal had a big hit to give the girls a lead early on.  The girls couldn't hold on to a 2 run lead in the last inning to get the win.  The girls play their next game Thursday against Enrico Fermi at School 29.
